JESSIE MILLER MURPHY BIO
Jessie Miller Murphy received a Photography scholarship to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, then continued her college career at The University of Colorado at Boulder and Naropa University, receiving a BA in Fine Art, a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, and Minors in Art History and Performance Art. She is currently pursuing an MA in Gallery Management and Exhibits Specialization from Western Colorado University. Miller Murphy is a certified Sound Healer, Usai Reiki Master, Aromatherapy Specialist, and Master of Crystal Energy and Healing. She has written and produced multiple music albums under the name Pigeon in a Top Hat. Miller Murphy’s multi-media artwork has been exhibited across the U.S., as well as in Azerbaijan, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Amsterdam, and London, earning several awards and honors. She has been invited to Azerbaijan and Botswana by their Ministers of Culture to conduct Photojournalism projects focused on education, women’s rights and refugees of war. Miller Murphy has taught Art, Creative Writing and Stewardship to the youth of her communities and to those abroad.
