JESSIE MILLER artemis MURPHY BIO
Jessie Miller Artemis Murphy is a Master's in Gallery and Museum Management candidate at Western Colorado University. She received a Photography scholarship to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, then continued her college career at The University of Colorado at Boulder and Naropa University, receiving a BFA in Fine Art, a BA in Art History with a concentration in Chinese and East Asian Art, and Minors in English-Creative Writing and Performance Art. Artemis Murphy is a certified Sound Healer, Usai Reiki Master, Aromatherapy Specialist, and Master of Crystal Energy and Healing. She has written and produced multiple music albums under the name Pigeon in a Top Hat. Miller Murphy’s multi-media artwork has been exhibited across the U.S., as well as in Azerbaijan, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Amsterdam, and London, earning several awards and honors. She has been invited to Azerbaijan and Botswana by their Ministers of Culture to conduct Photojournalism projects focused on education, women’s rights and refugees of war. Artemis Murphy has taught Art, Creative Writing, Music and Stewardship to the youth of her communities and to those abroad.
